This policy describes the public website and the current Bugtok+ extension implementation.

This website

This informational website does not include analytics, advertising scripts, cookies, browser storage, sign-in, or file uploads. Its pages and assets are served by the website host. The host receives normal web requests, including your IP address and browser request information; hosting logs and their retention depend on the deployed hosting service.

Sign-in and account information

The current extension uses Google sign-in. Google and our authentication service handle authentication and the account information returned by that sign-in flow. The extension persists the authentication session in Chrome’s local extension storage and uses an account identifier and access token to authorize Optimizer requests. Session information can include account profile information returned by the authentication provider.

The Optimizer service supplies account usage and optimization-limit information for display in the extension. Completed jobs can send an authenticated completion receipt so the service can account for completed optimizations.

Videos and filenames

In Manual mode, starting optimization sends the selected video’s contents and filename to the configured remote Optimizer service at https://api.bugtokplus.online. In Direct mode, after you enable and confirm that mode, selecting or dropping a video in TikTok Studio’s upload area starts this remote optimization flow.

The service processes the selected video and returns an optimized MP4. Manual mode saves it through Chrome’s downloads API. Direct mode supplies the completed file to TikTok’s upload interface. Your original local file is not overwritten. TikTok receives the video you upload through its interface and handles it under its own policies.

Sound Quality and page access

The extension runs scripts on TikTok Studio pages. When Sound Quality is enabled, it adjusts specific post-payload fields in the page before serialization. It does not directly target selected sound data or process the MP4. Direct mode also interacts with the native upload area to prepare and hand off a selected video.

Local settings and job records

Chrome’s local extension storage holds settings such as the Sound Quality switch, upload mode, Direct-mode confirmation, and authentication session. Pending completion records may include a job ID, job secret, account ID and timestamp for retrying completion notifications. The client filters out pending records older than 24 hours when reading them; this is not a promise about server retention.

Authentication tokens stay in trusted extension contexts and are used to authorize service requests. Local extension storage is not an encrypted password vault.

Permissions

Service providers and retention

Google and our authentication service participate in authentication; the Optimizer service receives submitted videos, filenames and authenticated job requests. The website host serves this site. The extension client does not establish retention periods for authentication accounts, service logs, usage records or server-side videos, so this policy does not promise a deletion deadline for those records.

Your choices

You can choose Manual mode, turn off Sound Quality, cancel active optimization, sign out, or uninstall the extension. Cancellation attempts to notify the Optimizer service; it is not a guarantee of immediate server deletion. Signing out clears the local authentication session but does not delete your account or all remote records. For account or data questions, use the contact information on the Support page.
