What does Bugtok+ do?
Bugtok+ combines remote video optimization with a separate Sound Quality feature for TikTok Studio. Manual Upload saves the result locally; optional Direct Upload passes an optimized file into TikTok Studio.
Does it upload or publish posts automatically?
Manual Upload leaves uploading to you. In Direct mode, selecting or dropping a video in TikTok Studio triggers remote optimization and then hands the result to TikTok’s upload interface. Bugtok+ does not automatically publish posts.
Does my video stay on my device?
Your original file stays unchanged, but optimization requires uploading a copy and its filename to the remote Optimizer service. Sound Quality itself changes post data within TikTok Studio. See the privacy policy.
Do I need an account?
The current build uses Google sign-in. The popup shows account access and available optimization counts when supplied by the service. This website does not offer sign-in or manage your account.
Why is my video waiting in a queue?
The Optimizer service processes one video at a time across all users, in both Manual and Direct Upload modes. Once uploads finish, videos join the processing queue in order. Waiting is normal when other videos are ahead of yours; the wait depends on the work ahead and how long each video takes to process.
Keep the Optimizer tab open in Manual mode, or the TikTok Studio tab open in Direct mode. Queue capacity is limited. If the queue is full, wait and try again later. Waiting in the queue does not deduct a credit.
When are credits deducted?
Credits are deducted only after the optimized file is successfully downloaded in Manual Upload or handed over to TikTok Studio in Direct Upload. If the file is not downloaded or handed over, no credit is deducted. A successful Direct handoff counts as completion; you do not need to publish the post.
Does Sound Quality guarantee better video or audio?
No. It adjusts specific TikTok Studio post fields without directly targeting selected sound data. TikTok determines final processing and playback quality. The Sound Quality feature does not modify your MP4.
Which files can I use?
The Optimizer accepts MP4/MOV selection and returns an MP4. Compatibility and upload size depend on the remote service; the extension checks its reported size limit before uploading. Check that your source file plays correctly.
Can I close the Optimizer tab while it runs?
Keep it open until the download is complete. Closing or reloading can interrupt transfers and attempts to cancel active work. An expired job may need to be submitted again.
Can I use it with the original Sound Quality extension?
Use only one of Bugtok+ or the original Sound Quality extension on TikTok Studio at a time. Their page hooks can conflict. Disable the other extension and reload TikTok Studio.
Is Bugtok+ part of TikTok?
Bugtok+ is an independent browser extension. This website does not claim affiliation with or endorsement by TikTok or Google.
